North America

North America is the only continent that experiences every type of climate as it has five time zones. With size of 24,709,000 sq km and population of 579,024,000, it has the highest population density out of all the seven continents. It has 23 countries. The world’s largest fresh water lake is situated within this continent and it is known as Lake Superior. Moreover, it has the world’s third longest river called the Mississippi.

Interestingly, this continent, comparatively has the highest average per person income with average food intake of its inhabitants being the highest. Within this continent, the world’s largest economy resides, popularly called the USA. North America is the world’s largest sugar exporter out of all the seven continents. Often referred to as ‘sugar bowl of the world’, it also is known to be the world’s largest producer of what, maize as well as soyabean. The major animals that are found in this continent include, hummingbird, brown bears, bullfrogs.
